Black Bear Cafe Branding

A university project where I was tasked with creating a brand identity and set of promotional materials for a cafe. I had to chose a location for the cafe and was encouraged to use imagery, information, history and stories from the area to influence the design. I chose to base a chain of shops in the Great Lakes area of North America, with the wild denizens of the continent represented on the logo and branding.

The brief required a range of packaging and promotional materials - ice-cream tubs, juice boxes, kids meal boxes, craft beer cans, pin badges, a back pack, a sleeping bag - as well as limited edition seasonal branding, for which I chose Oktoberfest, or rather Oktobärfest - bär being the German translation of bear (pronounced the same) - and switching Black Bear for Schwartzbär (shvarts-bear).
